Greenwich Celebrate's St. Patrick's Day Again!

The Greenwich Hibernians Association held their 46th annual St. Patrick's Day on Sunday after a two year absence due to the COVID pandemic.

Greenwich Selectman John Toner served as grand marshal and was joined in the march down Greenwich Ave. by Governor Ned Lamont whose primary residence is in Greenwich and Congressman Jim Himes, also from Greenwich. One of the marchers was a Hibernian member pictured above who proudly claimed she has marched in all 46 previous parades.

Greenwich motorcycle patrol led the parade and were joined by a whole host of first responders from surrounding communities in both CT and NY. Marching bands, Irish step dancers, martial artist demo, bag pipers, Cos Cob Riders motorcycle club and Adopt-A-Dog and of course the Shriners Motor Patrol delighted the large crowd who packed the entire length of Greenwich Avenue.
