Moon Rise over the Newly Named Laddie Lawrence Track
After a community ceremony on Saturday, the Staples High School Track around the football field will forever be known as the Laddie Lawrence Track. The track was named after longtime Track & Field Coach “Laddie”, who has been involved in the sport in Westport since the 1960s. Laddie remains a coach and active member of the community’s athletics through his work at the high school and with local clubs.
