Siblings Take Care of their Delivery Carriers December 11, 2020 James Bairaktaris Blair and Grant Theisinger are all that and a bag of chips - or fruit snacks - or just plain “awesome”. The siblings are helping brighten the days of the delivery women and men who bring packages to their home by delivering them a gift, too. The family has filled their home’s front steps with drinks, snacks, and other essential items available for the taking by the essential workers. The Long Lots Elementary School students hope the trend may spread in the community, taking care of the people who take care of the community. The Theisinger Family is just one of many families spreading light in our community this year, helping make a holiday season like no other a bit brighter with kindness. The care packages are well timed, and well deserved. The New York Times reported that “E-commerce became a lifeline for consumers and companies during the pandemic. But this holiday season, online shopping will strain the industry as never before: An estimated three billion packages will course through the nation’s shipping infrastructure — about 800 million more than delivered last year.” (The New York Times).
