State & Liberty opened up their 13th store in Westport this week, adding to a running list of new businesses to the downtown area this season. This lucky-number 13 location opened after the temporary closing of the brand’s Spring Street, New York City, location due to the pandemic. The Ann Arbor, Michigan based company was founded in 2015 by two University of Michigan Alums, who said “we could not find a dress shirt that fit our athletic build”, prompting their start to the brand. The Westport location will be part of the company’s permanent brick & mortars, according to a manager, and can be found online at stateandliberty.com.
