The United Nations Association of Connecticut: 

The United Nations Association of Connecticut has announced that at least three scholarships will be available to Connecticut graduating high school seniors this year. Dr Joseph Baxer, President of the Connecticut Chapter emphasized the scholarship goals to encourage and support students with a demonstrated interest in promoting peace through work in international relations and diplomatic service and to cultivate an understanding of, and support for, the work of the United Nations in the United States.

The United Nations Association of the United States of America is a not-for-profit non partisan organization that supports the work of the United Nations and encourages active participation in the most crucial social and economic issues facing the world today. The Connecticut Chapter welcomes members who reside in Connecticut and bordering areas. These scholarships are made available in memory of Lisl Standen, Ruth Steinkraus-Cohen and Fred Metcalf and the the generosity of many anonymous donors.
