United Nations Association of Connecticut Announces Scholarship Opportunities for High School Seniors

The United Nations Association of Connecticut has announced that at least three scholarships will be available to Connecticut graduating high school seniors this year. Dr Joseph Baxer, President of the Connecticut Chapter emphasized the scholarship goals to encourage and support students with a demonstrated interest in promoting peace through work in international relations and diplomatic service and to cultivate an understanding of, and support for, the work of the United Nations in the United States.
Application information is available from the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation (northwestcf.org and the Connecticut Community Foundation (concf.org) and in the Hartford area, from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving (hfpg.org/scholarships)

The Connecticut Chapter welcomes members who reside in Connecticut and bordering areas. These scholarships are made available in memory of Lisl Standen, Ruth Steinkraus-Cohen and Fred Metcalf and the the generosity of many anonymous donors.
