Santa Travels Westport from the Bed of his Dodge
In yet another moment of locals spreading joy while being distant, Santa Claus came to Westport today - not by sleigh with reindeer - but by Dodge pickup truck with a Megaphone. Claus, who somewhat resembles Al’s Angels founder & Westporter Al DiGuido, traveled around Westport and Fairfield shouting well wishes to passersby from the bed of the pickup truck driven by some of his highly trained elves. The jolly group could be seen at Compo Beach as well as the Saugatuck & downtown area, then traveling up Route 1 as snow fell.
