Our Team.
JC Martin
Lead Community Photographer
A longtime photographer, JC Martin has been capturing moments throughout Fairfield County for decades as part of large newspaper systems, magazines, and local publications. JC has a knack for both active portraits and community events, allowing viewers to share the moment with him.
Camille Vynerib
Community Photographer and Writer
As a Staples Senior, Cami is the photography director for Inklings News and serves as Junior Contributor for CTBites.com. She also volunteers at the local Westport Book Shop. She’s a bibliophile who enjoys being with her friends, or her French Bulldog, Duke.
Preston Siroka
Community Photographer
A Staples Sophomore, Preston has focused since he was 9 years old on buying a camera and then learning how to use it. Through local classes and hours of practice, Preston has successfully began to master manually exposed photography while focusing on landscape and community photos. Preston was a member of Bedford Middle School’s Ursus newspaper, and enjoys fishing and being with friends.
Jaime Bairaktaris
Executive Editor & Founder
Jaime moved to Westport when he was in eighth grade from the nearby community of Redding. He completed his middle school education at Bedford Middle School, and continued to graduate from Staples High School in 2016. Since his time at Bedford, his passion for photography and his local community grew. He became a regularly contributing photographer for WestportNow.com in 2012, and continued until it’s closure in November of 2020 after the passing of its founder Gordon Joseloff.
“Gordon was an amazing mentor to me - he pushed me to be a better photographer while remaining involved in my community. The Westport Local Press was designed with his leadership and high level of professionalism in mind; to help continue the tradition that WestportNow started.”
Jaime believes that Westporters deserve a free news source that’s as beautiful as it is informative. In order to further promote the news happening in town, specifically the good news, Jaime added in a new section of news that filters Good News Only - adding a way for Westporters to focus on only the good happening in their community .
Jaime is an undergraduate student at Sacred Heart University, a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician Crew Chief with Westport EMS, a paraeducator with a nearby school district, and assists in the management of a locally-owned ice cream shop. Jaime also served the Connecticut State Department of Education as Connecticut’s 2020 Paraeducator of the Year under the Anne Marie Murphy award.
