Spooky Stroll Will Take Over Downtown Westport On Wednesday
On Wednesday, October 28th Downtown Westport will be overrun with the cutest, scariest and most adorable children, both younger and older as one of Westport's favorite family events, the Westport Halloween Parade again returns to town. Weather looks to be good so far, but a rain date is scheduled for the next day, October 29th.

Each year, hundreds enjoy this event held by The Westport Parks & Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Westport Police Athletic League and the Westport Downtown Merchant’s Association. Several roads downtown will be closed prior to the start of the Parade.
Westport Police Department has issued this Traffic Advisory:
- Main Street will be closed from Post Road East to Avery Place starting at 2:30 p.m.
- Avery Place will be closed starting at approximately 3 p.m.
- Myrtle Avenue from Evergreen Avenue to Main Street will be closed starting at approximately 3 p.m.
Access to early voting at Town Hall will still be accessible.
All roads are expected to reopen by 6 p.m. Motorists should expect delays in the center of town due to these closures. The police department asks that motorists use extra caution when driving through the area.
