Owner Ellie Kim Helping her Customers
Compo Farms florists owner Ellie Kim helps a customer this morning select a floral arrangement. The owner and her team have been known to leave around 3:00 AM on Valentine’s Day after preparing flowers, then return just hours later to open the shop for customers.
Valentine’s Day Flowers keep Compo Farms Busy
Customers cleared the last of Compo Farm Florist’s roses today as the shop remained busy for the holiday. The family-owned shop remains busy on Valentine’s Day, however owner Ellie Kim says that Mother’s Day is usually their busiest day for flowers. The dozens of red roses were nearly gone by noon today, with single stem and other coloured flowers remaining for the last-minute buyers.
Love & Roses for KHS First Grade Teachers from Flowers for the Frontline
Kings Highway Elementary School First Grade Teachers Roseann Caruso, Ursula Malizia, Kara Brighindi, and Kaitlin Palopoli received their roses of love today from the local project Flowers for the Frontline.
Flowers for the Frontline is a collaborative project by Westport-based Blossom+Stem Floral Design and non-profit Al’s Angels that will deliver over one thousand roses to local frontline workers, such as healthcare workers and educators. Individual flowers were purchased by donors, which were then put together and delivered by volunteers to local settings.
