Ice Causes Problems for Motorists Overnight; Sanding Continued for Saturday Commute
A car slowly navigates ice on North Avenue just after 1:00 AM today. As temperatures remained below freezing, ice became a headache for many motorists on Westport roads overnight. With most of the DPW crews in for the night, roads quickly became slick - with several cars noticed sliding down steep hills or have difficulty stopping at stop signs. More Town trucks were noticed towards the midnight hours in an attempt to treat the quickly frozen-over roadways by daybreak today.
