Local Roads Freezing Over (Again)
With temperatures just above freezing after a day of snow and rain, roads are reported to be freezing up quickly tonight going towards the midnight hour. Sanders and salters are out trying to treat the roadways until tomorrow morning’s commute and warmer temperatures.

Sunday Scene at Greens Farms Elementary School
The sledding hill was busy today in front of Greens Farms Elementary School as another day of sunny weather brought kids out for one last sleigh ride before school starts tomorrow.
Ice Causes Problems for Motorists Overnight; Sanding Continued for Saturday Commute
A car slowly navigates ice on North Avenue just after 1:00 AM today. As temperatures remained below freezing, ice became a headache for many motorists on Westport roads overnight. With most of the DPW crews in for the night, roads quickly became slick - with several cars noticed sliding down steep hills or have difficulty stopping at stop signs. More Town trucks were noticed towards the midnight hours in an attempt to treat the quickly frozen-over roadways by daybreak today.
