Gas Leak: Hillspoint Road Closed along Coast
Due to a reported gas leak, Hillspoint Road is closed between Old Mill Beach and Compo Beach this morning. The leak is reported to be in the area of Old Mill Beach, coming from a private residence.
Police and Southern Connecticut Gas on-scene at a reported gas leak this afternoon.

Westport Police Department hosts Food & Supply Collection at Imperial Parking Lot Today
The Westport Police Department will be hosting a food & essential supplies drive today from noon until 4:30 at the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot.
All non-perishable food donations will be donated to Homes with Hope. All supplies - such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning supplies - will be donated to the NAACP Norwalk Chapter.
Some Roads May Still be Slippery or Snow Covered
With below-freezing overnight temperatures and snow leftover from Winter Storm Gail, some roads remained slippery or snow covered last night after the Department of Public Works trucks stopped running for the evening. This photo comes from Franklin Street, in the Saugatuck neighborhood, just after midnight this morning and shows several inches of snow still blocking the intersection at Ketchum Street. Town plows will have begun work before dawn today, continuing to clear roadways and salt any areas of black ice before the morning commute.
