Merritt Parkway Shuts Down Lanes, Exit Overnight due to Construction; Reopening by 6:00 AM
Closures affected the community again as the parkway shut down lanes both north and south as construction continued on the Fairfield - Norwalk stretch of Route 15.
DOT’s Southbound Update:
Road Work on RT15 Southbound between Exits 44 and 41 (4.2 miles) in effect today until Wednesday, June 2 at 6:00 am. The left lane is closed. DOT’s Northbound Update:
Road Work on RT15 Northbound between Exits 40B and 42 (1.4 miles) in effect today until Wednesday, June 2 at 6:00 am. The right lane is closed and the Exit 41 off ramp is closed. Firefighters Extinguish Marilane Dumpster Fire
Westport firefighters were dispatched to Marilane at around 8:45 this evening for the reported dumpster fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the contained flames as nearby neighbors wandered from their homes to investigate the lights and commotion. The trucks cleared from the roadway a short time later.
