Live Theatre Energizes Downtown from Toquet Hall
(L-R) Cameron Mann, Cooper Sadler. WestportLocal.com photoAfter transitioning from Zoom to the stage, actors and actresses of Triple Threat Academy brought live theatre back to Downtown Westport with their performance of The Breakfast Club on Saturday from the historic Toquet Hall.
The performance was partially script-in-hand with props and costumes that brought energy to the youth club’s room as family and friends looked on. Directed by Keith Contreras-McDonald and Cynthia Gibb in concert with the Triple Threat team, the student actors had limited time to rehearse for the show - but after the switch from virtual to reality - it was a standing ovation that punctuated the performance and solidified the notion that the show must go on, Zoom or not.
