Westport COVID-19 Cases Up 6
The State Department of Public Health reported 6 more cases in Westport over the weekend. The State’s daily test positivity rate was up to 3.65% while hospitalizations were up 7 patients, with 101 patients currently hospitalized for COVID-19 throughout the State.
Westport total positive or probable cases: 4,034 cases.

Westport Neighbors Celebrate Eloise Reilly on 102nd Birthday

(contributed photos)Friends, families, and neighbors filled the living room of longtime Westporter Eloise Reilly to celebrate her 102nd birthday last week. Reilly is a beloved member of the neighborhood - with many of those near to her enjoying the ability to celebrate in-person with the quintessential cake, balloons, and of naturally: flowers.
According to friends, Reilly lives in a home that she built on Newtown Turnpike in the 1950s after her service in Europe during WWII. Reilly remains active and has been a member of the Westport Garden Club for decades, with members bringing flower to adorn the home as the neighborhood came together to celebrate a true Westport local.
Fundraiser For Ukraine in Fairfield Tomorrow Night
Fairfield residents have joined with well known charitable organization Al's Angels based in Westport which has been supporting children and families in need for over 20 years to host and evening of live music, Ukrainian and local foods and more to be held at the beautiful Pavilion at Penfield beach in Fairfield.
Fairfield is home to a large Ukrainian population and has been home to the Ukrainian-American club in Southport for 100 years.
The event is from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM tomorrow night, Wednesday March 30th. 100% of the proceeds will be given to two charities which have been supporting the people of the Ukraine as they enter the second month in their struggle against the Russian invasion which is devastating the country. Come out for an evening of fun with a purpose and help the people of Ukraine!
