Linda Lynn Duebendorfer, 66, Died; Former Westporter who “spent a life well-travelled”
Linda Lynn Duebendorfer, of Westport, Connecticut for more than 20 years, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 66.
Lynn, as she was known by her friends and family, was a beloved mother, daughter and sister. Born in Augsburg, Germany on June 14, 1955 to parents James and Astrid Eatherly, Lynn spent a life well-travelled.
She grew up the eldest of five, in Garden City, Kansas and later attended Kansas State University, where she was a lifelong sister of Pi Beta Phi and earned her bachelors' degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she travelled the world as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. An adventurer, she lived in Atlanta, Orange County, Switzerland, England, Chicago, New York and Dallas, before settling in Westport, Connecticut and later Bethel, Connecticut.
Lynn was known both by those close to her as well as total strangers as a fun, sociable, and outgoing spirit who loved to laugh. She was a talented artist and interior designer, having studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta and the Parsons School of Design in New York. She spent much of her life in her studio painting and designing one-of-a-kind mosaic mirrors which she showed and sold in local galleries. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay, sisters, Susan, Julie and Amy, and brother, Bob. A private memorial service for her family will be held in Westport. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Regional Hospice, in Danbury, CT.
