Where are the buyers’ & sellers’ names? Click to read about our privacy guidelines.
In an effort to protect families’ addresses being placed directly into online search engine results, we do not publish the buyers’ and sellers’ names of transferred addresses. This has proven beneficial for domestic violence victims and other families who may require added protection against unwanted public contact. All names are still publicly available above via the link to the Town of Westport Town Clerk’s full transfer report.
From the Editor: Although frustrating when you may need to update mailing lists or learn about the comings and goings of your neighbors, an email of thanks from one mother escaping a domestic violence situation has solidified the benefit of this small change when purchasing their home in Westport. With so much publicly available personal information, this is a change that I’ve been happy to continue since our launch in December 2020. It allows for an accurate pulse on the real estate market while supporting our newest Westporters along with our retiring Westporters.

Quick Moving Nor’Easter brings Flooding, Winds Tonight; High Tide will bring “Widespread Moderate Flooding”
NWS, NYC rain forecastsThe National Weather Service, NYC has forecast a fast moving, but heavy storm this evening. The storm is expected to peak between midnight and 4 tomorrow morning, with an extreme high tide, heavy rains, and 40+ mph winds all forecast to strike before daybreak. Residents are urged to remove or secure all outdoor decorations, furniture, or other loose items prior to the heavy winds, and prepare for possible power outages - as the soft earth may be easier to uproot trees and other debris. Those living within coastal flood zones would be advised to move vehicles and other items to higher ground if they fall within a flood zone with the higher than average tides and downpours.
The following weather advisories are in effect:
Wind Advisory until 6:00 AM
Coastal Flood Warning until 4:00 AM
Westport Forecast Points
Winds are expected to reach gusts of 46 MPH, with the heaviest winds coming between midnight and 3:00 AM.
Rains are expected to be upwards of one inch, with the heaviest rainfall ending by daybreak. Flash flooding overnight is possible, especially during high tides.
Widespread moderate flooding is forecast during the high tide overnight, which will hit at 1:29 in the morning. Tides are expected to be 2.0-2.5 feet above ground level.
