Westport COVID-19 Cases Up 6; State Positivity Rate Up, Hospitalizations Down
The State Department of Public Health reported 6 more cases in Westport over the past day. The State’s daily test positivity rate was up to 8.10% while hospitalizations were down 12 patients, with 261 COVID patients hospitalized around the State.

Taste of Westport Celebrates CLASP’S 40th Anniversary at The Longshore Inn
Guests at The Taste Of Westport sample food from some of the areas best restaurants and enjoy the fare overlooking Long Island Sound.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the event was back for the 16th time on Wednesday, June 15th to celebrate CLASP’s 40th anniversary at the quintessential Westport location, the Inn at Longshore.
For more than a decade, Taste of Westport has brought together the best of the local restaurant scene to benefit CLASP Homes, a Westport-based non-profit that serves men and women with autism and other developmental disabilities throughout Fairfield County. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the event was back for the 16th time on Wednesday, June 15th to celebrate CLASP’s 40th anniversary at the quintessential Westport location, the Inn at Longshore. With 24 food and drink participants, the event welcomed more than 400 guests and raised close to $100,000 toward the organization’s goal of providing loving homes and opportunities for growth and fulfillment for the adults they serve. Guests enjoyed delicious food from some of the area’s best restaurants and fine wine and cocktails. The great weather provided an opportunity to enjoy the views of Long Island Sound from the Longshore lawns and patio, while the band kept guests dancing inside the ballroom.
