The Wreckers defeated Brien McMahon at home on Friday with a 3-0 shut-out of Brien McMahon of Norwalk.
Annabel Edwards scored in the first half with the Wreckers first goal and assisted on their second goal with a beautiful pass to Evelyn Chudowsky to put them firmly in the lead, 2-0 up at the half. Staples continued to dominate, especially on defense in the second period.
On her first Varsity game after being called up from Junior Varsity, Freshman Freya Harvey came off the bench and scored to make it 3-0 to Staples.
The Wreckers next face Greenwich in their semi-final game on Tuesday at 7:00 pm playing at the neutral site, Fairfield Warde.

Halloween Window Painting Contest Winners Announced
The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Halloween Window Painting Contest.
This year over 75 children painted 63 windows all throughout town this past Saturday, continuing a great tradition and interaction of business and community.
“This was one the best painting contests we’ve had,” said Matthew Mandell, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. ”The kids and families were so enthusiastic and really enjoyed the event. A big shout out to all the businesses that answered the call for windows.”
Winners received a gift certificate for an ice cream cake at newly opened Gofer Ice Cream on the Post Road.
