“Subject Matter” Attracts Crowds, And Celebrities, at Metro Art Studios
Among the Art Trail visitors yesterday were Westport residents Craig Melvin, host of the Today Show and Dateline, along with his wife Lindsay Czarniak, Fox Sports anchor on the left, and exhibiting artist Erica Katz, center.
As part of Bridgeport’s Art Trail held this weekend, Miggs Burroughs was asked to curate an exhibit at the Metro Art Studios at 345 Railroad Avenue. Titled “Subject Matter”, the show is comprised of pieces in a variety of media by artists including Erica Katz, Sue Benton, Jay Petrow and Miggs Burroughs, all from Westport, and Vincent Calenzo from Norwalk. The opening reception on Saturday drew a large crowd who also had the opportunity to visit other artists’ studios in the building as part of the art walk, which continues Sunday from 10 to 5. St. Lukes Church Holds Annual Harverst Fair
Over the past 30 years, Saint Luke Roman Catholic Church has raised funds for local charities and the Church’s Matthew 25 Fund to assist others who are in need. Our fundraising activities include our Harvest Fair with its many vendors; Shabby Chic Boutique; annual Lyman Orchard pie sale; religious gift shoppe and the Cookie Shoppe. We appreciate the support of our parishioners together with the local community in our effort to help others that are less fortunate.
