The October Full Moon, or Hunter's Moon, is named for the traditional hunting season that begins in the fall, when the bright moonlight allowed people to track and hunt animals at night to gather food for winter. The term also sometimes refers to the closest full moon to the fall equinox. This moon can appear bigger and brighter than a usual full moon and is also known as the Harvest Moon when it is the closest full moon to the fall equinox.

At top left, Camille Cross, Sean’s daughter was only too happy to keep her friends company with a very tall glass of beer.. Walrus staff made sure the line for beer wasn’t very long. At bottom right, her mom, Sean’s wife made sure she had a cold one as well. Sean and his family and several of their friends got enthusiastically into the spirit look like they just stepped out of a Bavarian beerhall, with very eye-catching lederhosen.

Oktoberfest originated in 1810 as a public celebration of the royal wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The event, held in Munich, included horse races, feasting, and music, and proved so popular that it was repeated annually. Over time, the festival evolved to include agricultural exhibitions, carnival rides, and, most notably, large beer tents, becoming the world's largest beer and folk festival.

From the opening whistle, the Wreckers dictated the tempo, dominating possession and keeping Warde pinned in their own half for long stretches. Despite creating multiple chances, Staples struggled to find the back of the net, with shots either missing just wide or being stopped by the Warde goalkeeper.

But the team stayed calm and composed, continuing to move the ball with purpose and press high. The breakthrough finally came in the second half, when Ford Epstein found space in the box and coolly finished to give Staples the lead they had been pushing for all game.

Coach Liam Witham, who is Wreckers Boys Soccer’s new coach in his first season told WestportLocalPress, “It was one of those games where we felt in control but just couldn’t get the goal early,” said head coach Liam Witham. “The boys didn’t panic they stayed focused and calm even with all the noise. We kept playing our game, and eventually got the result.”
