NPR announced this morning that the United Kingdom began vaccinating members of the public today with the approved Pfizer vaccine, produced in Belgium, starting the count of Western countries to begin the monumental task.

The first patient vaccinated by the National Health Service, a 90 year old woman, said “…I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the new year after being on my own for most of the year.”
