Plover Lane Shed Fire Extinguished “Rapidly” without any injuries

Westport Fire Department

The Westport Fire Department was requested to respond to a reported shed fire.

The initial report from the caller reported that the shed was located next to a house. The initial dispatch included four engines, a ladder truck, and the shift commander. Mutual aid was also dispatched to the scene and for station coverage.

Additional personnel were assigned to check the interior of both residences for extension and occupants.

Quick action by firefighters allowed for a rapid extinguishment of all visible fire. The fire was confined to the exterior of both houses and the shed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no injuries to civilians or fire personnel at the time of this writing
