Staples Players gain Wisdom from Disney, Broadway Pros as Descendants Rehearsals Continue

Photo by Kerry LongStaples Players gained pointers today from Players Alum/current Disney Theatrical Group Director of Creative Development Caley Beretta and Broadway actor Nick Blaemire. The Players are rehearsing their upcoming show Descendants - a musical based on Disney Channel’s original movie that follows the kids of Disney’s most famous villains.
Today’s visit from the industry pros allowed the high school acting group to speak with Blaemire and Beretta about their creative process for making the musical, with Blaemire later watching the Players perform scenes while assisting their rehearsal of the numbers. Other members of the Players cast and crew were interviewed by the Disney marketing team as part of publicity materials for the show - which has been described as a “thrilling stage production [that] features show-stopping numbers that promise to leave the audience filled with optimism and hope for a better future!”
