A motor vehicle accident underneath the Sherwood Island Connector slowed southbound traffic tonight around 9:30. The accident occured after a day of rain, light snow, and freezing nightime temperatures caused roadways to be slippery in some untreated locations. Injuries or cause of the accident are unknown.
