After the Westport Historic District Commission’s 180 day delay ended on May 20th, the wrecking ball was approved to demolish 27 Gorham Avenue. The home was built in 1933 and sits on .46 acres in the downtown area, and was given the 6 month period for public commentary and further evaluation before issuing the permit. Read more about the former home here.

In its place will be a new colonial style home, built by Redcoat Homes and designed by renowned architect Judith Larsen, with an asking price of $3,099,500. The new home was designed with the neighborhood in mind, as the sprawling front porch and classic design features continue to allow the Gorham Avenue community’s history to blend with the property’s update.
