Board of Selectmen Talk 5K Race, Yankee Doodle Fair, Library Outdoor Summer Reading Program this Morning at 9:00

The Westport Board of Selectmen will discuss several items Westporters can enjoy this upcoming Spring, Summer, and Fall - like the return of the Westport Women’s Club' Yankee Doodle Fair, slated to be held in September. New events for the Town would include a 5K and the idea of outdoor reading programs for the Summer with the Westport Library.

The full agenda: 

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of March 24, 2021.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town roadways known as Main Street, Elm Street, Clinton Avenue, Loren Lane, Sniffen Road, Oak Street and Richmondville Avenue for the Fitness and Health 5k Road Run Activity on Saturday, May 1, 2021 (rain date Sunday, May 2, 2021) from 7:00 am to 11:30 am, contingent upon compliance with recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of the town property known as the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot from Sunday, September 17, 2021 through Sunday, September 26, 2021 for the Westport Woman’s Club Yankee Doodle Fair, contingent upon compliance with recommendations from relevant town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Townowned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town property known as Jesup Green for the Westport Library’s Summer Reading Programs scheduled for Tuesdays at 10:00 am from June 29 through August 17, Wednesdays at 9:30 am from June 30 through August 18 and Thursdays at 10:00 am from July 1 through August 19, contingent upon compliance with recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the First Amendment to the Structure Lease Agreement by and between the Town of Westport and New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC, for modification of certain terms of the original Structure Lease Agreement, dated as of March 22, 2017, as it relates to the telecommunications equipment located at 515 Post Road East (Westport Fire Department Headquarters).

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid #21- 019T (Pavement Preservation and Repairs – Spring 2021) in the amount of $2,399,928.55 to Deering Construction, Inc.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid # 21- 013T (Sanitary Sewer Contract #76B Main Street Gravity System).

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the C-PACE Partial Release Agreement by and between the Town of Westport and the Connecticut Green Bank F/K/A Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority as it relates to the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Agreement, dated February 7, 2013, for the program established under Public Act No 12-2 to facilitate loan financing for clean energy improvements to commercial properties.
