Commuter Perks: Free Cup of Coffee for Wheels2U Riders on Thursday, Friday Mornings

From the Westport Transit District & STEAM Coffee & Tea

The Westport Transit District and Steam Coffee Tea are teaming up to offer riders free coffee.  Just ride Wheels2U in the morning on Thursday, November 18 or Friday, November 19, show your proof of completed ride at Steam between 6 AM and 10 AM that morning, and receive a free regular coffee.

Wheels2U Westport is the Westport Transit District’s on-demand, group ride, door-to -train platform shuttle service.  Proof of completed Wheels2U rides can be found in your History on the Wheels2U app.  Just tap the three bars in the upper left corner of the screen to reveal the information.

“We are pleased to be collaborating with Steam to help encourage the use of this essential service for our town,” said Peter Gold, Director of the Westport Transit District.  It’s also a great promotion for Steam right there on Railroad Place.  And, of course, a great cup of coffee for the commuters!”

Residents living in Wheels2UWestport’s service area can use the Wheels2U Westport app to request a pickup  between 5:45 AM and 9:45 AM and between 4 PM and 8 PM and be taken to or from the Saugatuck or Greens Farms train platform and their front door. Pickups should be requested about 20 minutes before you would normally leave to drive to the station.  The fare is $2.00 when paid with the Wheels2U app.  A Metro North Uniticket rail/bus pass can also be used.
