Building a Front Yard Ice Skating Rink while Continuing a Neighborhood Tradition

Bryn Reilly (l), Charles Nivaud, KHS 5th grader (c), and Anthony Loiacano (r) move a piece of wood into place to construct the Reilly Family’s front yard ice skating rink, located at their home on Wright Street. Each year the rink is constructed with the help of family and friends to continue its nearly 20 year tradition of welcoming neighborhood kids to skate throughout the Winter. According to the family, the rink needs about four days of 20 degree temperatures in order for the skating to begin for the 2020 season - giving local kids a good reason to look forward to freezing-cold days.
