International Show Jumping Debuts at The Greenwich Polo Club
World class show jumping made its debut Saturday with CSI Greenwich, with $250,000.00 in total prizes attracting an elite group of competitors from around the country, including notable equestrian Georgina Bloomberg, daughter of former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg who finished in 6th place atop her horse, (of course) Manhattan. Eleven other riders finished the $150,000.00 division 3 Grand Prix, including second place finisher Alex Matz, riding Erdento Van De Leeuwerk bringing home a 30K purse. Nayel Nassar of Egypt, riding Igor Van De Wittemoere finished first in the four horse jump-off and took home $40,500.00. Local competitors included six-time Olympian McLain Ward of Brewster, NY.
