Franny’s Farmacy Press Release

Franny's of Westport is announcing that December 31st, 2021 will be the last day its doors will remain open at 31 Church Ln, Westport, and that it will be temporarily reopening on January 4th, 2022 just several hundred feet away at 33 Elm Street Unit #2, Westport. This temporary relocation comes with exciting expansion opportunities for the hemp-wellness retail destination.

Franny's will begin the application lottery process for acquiring an adult-use THC license after it was presented with an opportunity to move forward with a long-term plan and integrate into the legal THC market. While understanding that Westport has recently decided to wait and see if and when it will allow recreational adult-use operations to proceed, Franny’s will temporarily relocate to remain in Westport and continue serving its community while it determines its next course of action.

“It is apparent that this country is moving towards federal legalization of cannabis. We don't know the details of how and when, but the Franny's family of brands will be positioning ourselves to be leaders in this transition and in that new era where cannabis will be common, in all forms. We're in pursuit to continue building our brand while making Franny's a household name. If we didn't go after this opportunity we'd be doing a great disservice to our loyal customers and community at large as we seek to educate and advocate for all things cannabis,” says Griff Conti, Owner/Operator of Franny’s of Westport.

“Griff has been and continues to be a leader in this industry as an educator, franchise owner, and community leader who has been recognized many times for his extraordinary work. As a collective, we have taken great risk to get to where we are today, and with this new opportunity we’re here to do it again. Stay tuned,” says Franny Tacy, CEO of Franny’s Farmacy.

The Franny’s of Westport Facebook Page will continue to remain active with updates from the Franny’s family and educational hemp and CBD-related content after December 31st of this year.
