Youth Homecoming Fills Saugatuck Bars

Hundreds of young people returning home to celebrate the holiday filled the bars of Saugatuck, prompting a heavy police response as the crowds hopped between The Black Duck and Viva Zapata (pictured).

One passerby described the Black Duck as “packed” when they tried their luck at entering, only to find another long line of hopeful patrons at nearby Viva’s.

Westport Police had several patrol cars in the area as the crowds of hundreds began to dwindle as bouncers began to lock doors and limit occupancies.
