MoCA and AAPI Westport Celebrate Diwali with the Community on November 5th

From the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Westport Community

Diwali is one of the biggest Hindu festivals. It celebrates Lord Rama's defeat of the evil king Ravana and his triumphant return to his home with his wife Sita.

Diwali represents the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and wisdom over ignorance. It is a festival of new beginnings, an auspicious day.

Diwali is like the Indian version of Christmas. Think lit up houses, brand new clothes, great food and lots of presents.

Join us as we celebrate the festivities on 5th November 2021, at MOCA, 19 Newtown Turnpike, Westport, 4.30pm - 6.30pm.

Entry is free. All activities will be held outside, weather permitting.
