New On-Demand Wheels2U Buses Gets Commuters to Trains Faster, Easier

Deputy Police Chief Sam Arciola and Westport Transit District Director Peter Gold with one of the new posters put up in the commuter tunnel.

The Westport Transit District announced that their new Wheels2U program has been active and allows those trying to catch a train a fast and easy way to get to the platforms. The buses can be ordered on-demand via an app, similar to Uber or Lyft rides, and will pick up passengers at their homes to bring them to the train stations.

Westport Transit District Director Peter Gold was on-hand this week for the application of new posters and billboards describing the program and its benefits to the community.
