One Sent to Hospital from Wilton Road Crash

Today at approximately 1208pm the Westport Fire Department along with Westport Police and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Wilton Rd at the intersection with Partrick Rd. While enroute, units were advised that there was a possible person trapped.

Emergency responders arrived on scene and found a two-vehicle accident with injuries. The driver of one vehicle was unable to exit the vehicle due to damage from the impact. Fire department personnel used the hydraulic cutters to remove the driver’s side door. One occupant was transported to Norwalk Hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries by Westport EMS. Wilton Rd remained closed until the vehicles could be removed from the travel lanes. The crash is currently under investigation by the Westport Police Department.
