Skipping on Main: Dance Collective Students Show Off their Skill at Westport’s Health and Fitness Expo

Blake Raho and Jessica Anderson, both local 6th graders, showed off their skills in the Westport Dance Collective’s presentation space on Main Street as part of the Health & Fitness Expo. Both Raho and Anderson are students of the local dance studio. The Dance Collective, 222 Post Road West, held dance lessons throughout the day - like hip-hop to salsa - and this presentation designed to get kids active and participating. Dance has been an exercise and sport that’s increasingly common for kids and adolescents as it builds confidence and coordination, in addition to strengthening motor skills.
