Slim Floral Pickings Late in the Day
Pickings for flowers were slim after 2:00 PM today as thousands of roses and others flowers were sold at Compo Farms this weekend for Mother’s Day. The holiday for Mom is the busiest day of the year for the florists, with nearly all of their flowers being sold by 2:30 this afternoon. Preparation for the day starts days in advance, with the owner Ellie Kim working through the night and beginning again early this morning to assure families have their flowers in time for their mother’s day celebrations.
