Superintendent Announces Vaccine Clinic Sign-up for Ages 5-11 at Staples High School

Westport Superintendent Thomas Scarice

Dear Families of Westport Students,

The Westport Public Schools has partnered with the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Bay Street Pediatrics, Village Pediatrics, Willows Pediatric Group, and the Westport Weston Health District, to offer a Covid-19 vaccine clinic for Westport students ages 5-11. The first dose of the Pfizer 5-11 vaccine will be offered on Saturday, November 13, 2021, and the second dose of the Pfizer 5-11 vaccine will be offered on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Both rounds of the vaccine will be administered in the Staples High School Field House.

Parents can schedule both doses of the vaccine through the link below. This series of clinics is only open to students, ages 5-11, who attend school in Westport or are patients of the local pediatric groups. It is important to note that students ages 5-11 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Any families wishing to vaccinate older students can follow this link to locate vaccination sites.

Finally, this Covid-19 vaccine event would not be possible without the generous support of so many Town of Westport and Westport Public Schools’ staff. From our school nurses, technology staff, custodians, and food service staff, to the Westport Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services teams, we would not be able to pull off such a large scale and important event without their efforts.

Please use the link below to register your student, ages 5-11, for the upcoming Covid-19 vaccine event.
