The National Weather Service, NYC has announced that “there is potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms, with strong to damaging winds gusts, Tuesday evening ahead of an approaching cold front.”

The hazardous weather outlook includes an Air Quality Alert for the county that stands until 11:00 this evening, with smoke plumes still hovering over the community. “Fine particulates from the departing wildfire smoke plume have been slow to disperse and unhealthy levels are expected to persist throughout the day.
