Saugatuck Senior Housing Complex Evacuated Overnight

Westport firefighters were dispatched to 35 Bridge Street, the Saugatuck senior housing complex, for the reported fire alarm just after 3:00 AM. Residents evacuated the building to outdoor temperatures nearing the teens. The building was quickly deemed safe and residents were assisted in re-entering their homes without any incident.
