Library Hosts Virtual Talk on the Future of the Workplace

According to the Westport Public Library:

“The Westport Library announced a program featuring futurist Christopher Bishop on Wednesday, January 13th at 12:30pm.  The program will explore the characteristics of “The Longevity Economy” as it relates to jobs and careers.

To register go to: https://westportlibrary.org/event/the-longevity-economy-the-new-workplace-model-multiple-careers-many-years/

Bishop is fascinated by how careers will be transformed in the coming decades.  Why you will be working is as interesting as what you will be doing.  As retirement becomes more concept than reality see how you will be changing to meet the new environment.

Bishop is a TEDx speaker, LinkedIn Learning Instructor, a former IBMer, and future workplace consultant.  He has led seminars at multiple academic institutions, including Baruch, Columbia, Duke, Stern School of Business/NYU, Texas A & M, Union College, among others.  One of his current activities is as an Executive in residence at the Baruch College Executives on Campus program.  He mentors current Baruch College students to prepare for the world after college, by helping them develop communication, networking, and interviewing skills as well as helping them investigate the many career paths available to them.”
