Westport Fire Department Plans for Flooding, High Winds, Power Outages

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Westport for Tropical Storm Henri. Tropical Storm Henri is forecasted to become a hurricane off the Mid-Atlantic Coast and may make landfall east of New Haven Sunday afternoon with lingering effects into Monday. A Tropical Storm Warning means tropical-storm-force winds are expected somewhere within this area within the next 36 hours. 

The Westport Emergency Management team will update residents as more information on the projected impact is realized.  Currently, we anticipate heavy rainfall, flooding, high winds, coastal flooding, and power outages.
