Westport Man Arrested, Released on $5,000 Bond for Strangulation

Westport Police Department:

On February 3, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Westport Police officers responded to a local address on a report of a disturbance.  A witness reported that two people were possibly engaged in a physical altercation out on the street.  However, by the time officers arrived the individuals were gone.  The investigating officer was able to identify the involved parties.  It was determined that two people were in fact arguing.  During this incident, Felix Vasquez allegedly assaulted the person he was arguing with.

Based on the investigation, a warrant for Mr. Vasquez’s arrest was completed and signed by a Superior Court Judge.

On the evening of March 3, 2022, Mr. Vasquez turned himself in at the Westport Police Department.  Per the warrant, he was charged with Strangulation in the Second Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, and Breach of Peace.  Mr. Vasquez was released after posting a $5,000.00 bond and was arraigned at Stamford Superior Court on March 4, 2022.
