Hazy Night for Softball Under the Lights

As the Men’s Monday Night Softball League continues on, haze could be seen as air quality remains low. Smoke plumes continue to be reported by the Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program from the wildland fires in the Western United States. In the outfield are the “Empty Pitchers” with “Viva Zapata” at bat. Viva's, sponsored by the historic Saugatuck institution, is currently ranked #2 in the league behind the “Bulldogs”. The score for the late evening game was 5-6 (Viva Zapata) by the bottom of the fourth inning. “Restore Cryotherapy” and the “Rats” played the field prior to Viva and the Empty Pitchers, with Restore beating the Rats 9-8 with a solid run in the bottom of the seventh inning by Keith Lombardo.
