Westport Announces Snow Day for Friday Ahead of Storm
Superintendent Thomas Scarice
Dear Westport Families and Staff,
The regional Superintendent’s held a conference call this evening with a local meteorologist who confirmed that the timing of tomorrow morning’s forecasted snowfall is during the heart of our arrival times at the schools. This forecast, combined with an update from the Town’s public works officials that it will take several hours after the conclusion of snow to be sure local roads and school parking lots are cleared and safe, has led to the decision to close all schools and offices for Friday, January 7, 2022.
Please stay safe and enjoy the weekend ahead.
Respectfully,
Thomas Scarice
Superintendent of Schools
