One Sent to Hospital from Wilton Road Crash
Westport Fire Department contributed photoWestport Fire Department: Today at approximately 1208pm the Westport Fire Department along with Westport Police and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Wilton Rd at the intersection with Partrick Rd. While enroute, units were advised that there was a possible person trapped.
Emergency responders arrived on scene and found a two-vehicle accident with injuries. The driver of one vehicle was unable to exit the vehicle due to damage from the impact. Fire department personnel used the hydraulic cutters to remove the driver’s side door. One occupant was transported to Norwalk Hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries by Westport EMS. Wilton Rd remained closed until the vehicles could be removed from the travel lanes. The crash is currently under investigation by the Westport Police Department.
Sirens: Car Accident Closes Wilton Road
A car accident was reported just after noon today on Wilton Road in the area of Patrick Road. First responders responded to the scene, which is currently affecting traffic in the immediate area as Wilton Road remains closed between River Lane and Patrick Road. No information has been released at this time.

The roadway was reopened shortly after 1:00 this afternoon.
