Saturday Southbound: Weekend Traffic Returns as I-95 Crawls

After more than a year of less than average traffic on the parkways and highways that cross the community, the “Saturday southbound crawl” has returned to I 95.

Last weekend, and again today, the southbound traffic could be seen backed up for several miles through Westport as an increase in drivers compete with several construction projects sprawled out from Norwalk to the New York border.

Greens Farms Road, Post Road East, as well as the Saugatuck neighborhood feel the brunt of these stresses as drivers fight for open road.
