Answering a Wartime President’s Call: Community Returns to Bridge for Ukrainian Peace Rally

After Ukrainian President Zelensky requested the World unite through peace rallies, Westporters and neighbors answered the call this morning while standing shoulder-to-shoulder on the Ruth Steinkraus Cohen Bridge. In this second display of support for Ukraine and its people, community members donned their blue and gold and remained on the bridge with flags and posters of support while passersby cheered, waved, and honked their horns.
