Letter to the Editor: “ …fiercely woven into its fabric”
Letters to the Editor
To the Editor:
With the elections in Westport fast approaching, I am writing in support of Andrea Moore for Second Selectperson. Andrea is a native Westporter and I am excited about the opportunity that Westport has in this upcoming election. Not all towns have the chance to elect a leader with a love for her community and commitment to its success as much as she does.
I had the opportunity of working with Andrea in several capacities on the PTA Board at Saugatuck Elementary for many years, but most notably as Co President. I can attest to her excellent background to contribute leadership and thoughtfulness evident in working with other members of the Board. Despite the countless volunteer hours that go along with such roles, Andrea always managed to graciously accept any challenges that may have arisen and completed tasks with excellence and precision.
Her honest and measured approach is what I believe led to her success in being elected to the RTM and subsequently elected to her current position as the Vice Chair on the Board of Finance. I have great confidence that she is the best candidate for Second Selectperson as this is a natural progression of a skilled leader.
The residents of our community would be lucky to have a leader with Andrea’s integrity, loyalty and respect of her peers. Raised in Westport, she is instinctively in tune with the people of our town and is fiercely woven into its fabric.
