One Charged for Throwing Rocks
Westport Police Department ReleaseOn August 6, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Westport Police officers responded to Bridge Street on a report of a disturbance. The complainant reported that as she was walking along Bridge Street a female began to allegedly throw large rocks at her. The complainant was not struck by any of the stones. The attack was purportedly unprovoked. A description of the suspect was provided by the complainant and the suspect, who was identified as Victoria Grant, was located a short time later on Compo Road South.
Based upon the investigation, Ms. Grant was placed under arrest. She was charged with Breach of Peace and Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree. Ms. Grant was released from custody on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to be arraigned at Stamford Superior Court on Monday, August 16, 2021.
